Comprehensive Multi-Disciplinary Evaluation

The evaluation that identifies your child's strengths and needs — and determines EIDBI eligibility.

What is a CMDE?

A CMDE is a standardized, comprehensive evaluation that determines whether a child is eligible for EIDBI and identifies their strengths, needs, and the medical necessity of services. It is completed by a qualified CMDE provider.

The evaluation brings together developmental history, records, direct assessment, and caregiver input into a written report with findings and service recommendations — the foundation for an effective treatment plan.
